New on Kerrfect

As some of you may know, I was raised in beautiful Chautauqua County in Western New York. Everything there is so pretty and historic. I really do miss it, especially in the winter and fall. I always surf the net and look for old images of the area, but never know what to do with them other than to click through them and make myself homesick every couple of months. I thought I might post some of them on the blog every once in a while and share a little part of my history with you.

Well if any of your other photos are like this one YES! I want to see them :) My Honey graduated from Pine Hills (something like that) NY. And we visited some places in NY many years ago. It was very pretty, lots of vineyards everywhere I looked. I have to remember and get him to take a look at your photo/blog. I’ll see if he is familar with the area.

I LOVE Western NY, it’s beautiful all year round, but I especially love the fall. We have a lot of vineyards in that areabecause they found that the soil is the same chemical make up as the soil in France supposedly.

Not on subject but I thought you might enjoy a couple of book suggestions if you haven’t already read them. The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon is really good. Scotiish/Historical/Time Traveling/Rough and Tumble Romance–yep you gotta read it to believe it :)

And secondly, S.M. Stirling’s Change Series starting with Dies the Fire. Renaissance Re-enactors/Wicca/Sci Fi with touches of Lord of the Rings. Strong women in both series.

I just finished the latest in The Outlander series and thought of you. Somehow I keep meeting people around here that don’t read. I don’t get it.

Thanks! I’ll have to look into those! I hardly ever meet other people who like to read, if they do it’s like the Nascar romance series and stuff like that, damn Twilight! lol
